Stone Sour stole the show...
I love Father Of Peace. Great talent involved in it, great band. This night, they greatly disappointed me. The setlist was horrible. I fully expected them to open with Nightmare, and they did, which is all good. I can say positive things about them for hours. Yet, I'm not going to. However, I did not expect them to play a short setlist of only about 12 songs, and on top of that, mostly play new songs, with only a couple of older tracks thrown in. I also expected them to play quite a few songs from their new album, which is understandable considering they are touring in support of it. Great disappointment. The list of songs I wanted to hear that they did not play is almost longer than the list of songs they did play. No Beast and the Harlot, no Almost Easy, no Dear God, no Seize the Day, Unbound, Gunslinger, Brompton Cocktail... Corey Taylor has a stage presence like none other. Thankfully, Stone Sour was there. Corey did just the right amount of interacting with the crowd, Stone Sour was tight as a band, and they played what their fans wanted to hear. The other two opening acts, New Medicine and Hollywood Undead, totally blew. I actually decided to take a nap two songs into the set by Hollywood Undead. No real talent there at all. They are a total rip off of Slipknot and Limp Bizkit, but with less than 1/8 the talent. I really don't understand what people like about them. And as for New Medicine, I hate even wasting time typing about them. They sounded like a drunk version of Sum 41.
